After providing care for three family members I came to realize that no one can anticipate the challenges and demands a family endures when a family member needs long-term care. Stress, work and sacrifice are unavoidable. But this challenge can be addressed through good planning.

Clearly, Long-Term Care Insurance provides the critical element, money, for a care event. As over 80 percent of care is received in the home, having the money enables the cared-for the choice to remain at home as long as possible with fewer sacrifices by family members.
